Some of the potential hazards may include,
Some of the potential hazards may include,
- Tripping over equipment- To avoid this we must make sure that equipment is not obstructing pathways and make sure that all the actors are mindful of where the equipment is placed to avoid this risk.
- Actors cutting themselves of the knife props- To avoid this our knife props must not be sharpened knives, as an extra measure we must make sure we are very careful in scenes where someone will die.
- Members of the public calling the police- This is a big risk and must be avoided. To make sure this doesn't happen we have to be very careful with what scenes we film in what places. If we must film in a more public or crowded location, we must do our best to make sure the public knows were are filming for a project beforehand.
- Breaking equipment- Everyone handling equipment must make sure that its handled with care during the filming process and after the filming process when equipment is being taken to another location.
- Actor injuries- Any potential injuries to the actors must be avoided. If any injuries do occur we must cease all filming and deal with the injury accordingly, whether minor or severe.
Risk Assessment- How to solve the issues
- When someone has tripped over a piece of equipment, filming must cease immediately. The person in question must be assisted and any potential injuries taken care of. The equipment must be checked over for any potential damages.
- If an actor has cut themselves with a prop, filming must be ceased and the person in question must be treated straight away. The wound depending on its severity must be taken care of quickly and appropriately. If in such case the injury is severe enough the ambulance must be called immediately.
- If the police has been called, filming must cease immediately until the police has turned up. Once the police have shown up you must talk to them about what has happened and explain. You must follow the instructions from them at all times and be respectful as not to cause more trouble.
- If any equipment has been broken we must make sure that its cleared up quickly and a teacher is told as soon as possible.
- If an actor has been injured then you must make sure that the injury isn't too severe and then treat it accordingly. If the injury is severe the ambulance must be called immediately.
